Established in 2022 as part of the Lambeth Elfrida Rathbone Society, we support neurodivergent individuals and people with learning disabilities in and around South London. The charity takes its name from an educationalist who pioneered equal opportunities for all.
Hive Cafe continues to champion this ethos by providing an accessible environment for people to learn and grow. We provide support and training to fully prepare people for the world of work.
We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and empowers individuals to reach their full potential.
COMMUNITY & QUALITY
Hive is a welcoming hub that brings people of all ages together.
A space where people can connect, work, share experiences, and build relationships over great coffee and food, with Wi-Fi access.
Offering a warm, inclusive atmosphere, Hive is pet-friendly, hosts events, workshops, and activities that promote social interaction and support local initiatives. There is a children’s play area and an outdoor space for you to enjoy.
BARISTA COFFEE
We are proud to serve Origin coffee, one of Europe’s top speciality coffee roasters that has been at the forefront of the industry for nearly two decades. Driven by a commitment to excellence, Origin follows a core philosophy: to source, support, and promote farmers and producers through a sustainable, triple-bottom-line approach.
FRESH FOOD
We are committed to serving fresh food and drinks at affordable price, without compromising on high quality. Hive was proudly awarded a 5 Star Food Safety & Hygiene rating. We value customer feedback to help us grow and improve together.
DELICIOUS PASTRIES
We source some of our pastries and breads from Lockdown Bakehouse, a business that was born during the 2020 lockdown, when many livelihoods were put on hold. In-house cakes are also on offer, made by our lovely team.
A PLACE TO LEARN
We offer comprehensive, on the job training in three unique roles; Barista, Front of House, and Back of House. Participants complete these roles over three month placements, receiving accredited certifications. Hive equips people with the skills to seek employment in the hospitality industry.
